I’ve driven both, and in my opinion, the tandem is not such a step from the tridrive & definitely worth a look... consider there's less tires & drivetrain to maintain & repair; it has better steering & traction on hills; and I still NET 43000 kg.
 
Peerless trailer has 3 new axles, new turntable, is in great shape and needs no work.
Truck has no issues either; last work done on it is new transmission, clutch & EGR cooler
